Buddhist delegation from Berlin to Burma

Viharadhipati, Sri Lanka -- Berlin Buddhist Viharaya Ven. Shastrapati Ratmale Punnaratana thera will lead a seven member Buddhist delegation from Germany to the fourth world Buddhist Congress to be held in Yangon, Myanmar (Burma) from December 9 to 11 this year.

The delegation will comprise members from the Teravada, Mahayana, Zen and Vajrayana Buddhist sects operating in Germany. Ven. Punnaratana is scheduled to deliver a special address at the Congress on the theme "Spread of Buddhism in Germany".

After attending the congress the delegation will tour several other historic cities in Myanmar before returning to Germany, said a press release issued by the Berlin Buddhist viharaya.
