Chachoengsao holds Buddhist sermon

CHACHOENGSAO, Thailand -- Chachoengsao is holding its monthly Buddhist sermon, urging the public to join in and apply Dharma to their daily life activities.

Lt.Gen.Ongart Chawanviwat, Deputy Director of the province’s Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC), presided over the opening ceremony of the monthly Buddhist sermon held at the city hall yesterday.

Giving the monthly sermon to faithful Buddhist disciples was Abbot Pramahayanakrit Setthamethi. Participants included government officials, and public workers, as well as those the private sector. The aim of the event was to provide everyone with knowledge from the teaching of Buddha's Dharma, and remind people to do good and apply Dharma in their daily lives.

Activities included praying, meditation, Dharma discussion, and sermons. The next Buddhist sermon will be held at the province’s city hall on Tuesday 13 May 2014 at 9.30 am.
