James W. Hackett Annual International Award for Haiku

London, UK -- The James W. Hackett Annual International Award for Haiku, sponsored by the British Haiku Society, is now in its 15th year. Interested poets are encouraged to enter their unpublished haiku (in English) to the BHS.
Two winning poets will each receive a prize of £70, and one year's free subscription to Blithe Spirit, the journal of the British Haiku Society. Winning and commend haiku will be published in Volume 17 of Blithe Spirit.

The deadline for submission is November 30, 2006.
Adjudicators: Two winning haiku (and several highly commended haiku) will be chosen, each by a separate adjudicator: James W. Hackett, and David Cobb who is a poet and founder of the British Haiku Society.
