Vice Chairperson attends women's council in Nagpur

Dharamshala, India -- The vice chair of the Assembly of Tibetan People's Deputies, Mrs. Dolma Gyari, is presently in Nagpur attending the two-day Dhamma Mahila Parishad (Women's Dhamma Council) which began yesterday.

The conference is being held in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Dhamma Diksha Din and the centenary of Babasaheb Ambedhar.

Dr. Ambedkar established the Dhammachakra Buddhist institute on 14 October 1956 and this year it turns 50.

After the conference, the vice chair will leave for Mumbai to participate in Friedrich Naumann Foudation's (FNF) Alumni meeting organised by the FNF New Delhi.

The FNF meeting is slated for 22 September.
