The convener of the National Patriotic Movement, Ven. Elle Gunawansa Thera, has accused the Jathika Hela Urumaya of damaging the image of the Bhikku community.
The Ven. Gunawansa thera said the JHU monks should bear the responsibility of causing damage to the Bhikku community.
?At the beginning of the JHU, I announced that this would end up in chaos, which has now been proved,? the Thera said.
He also accused the JHU of using Buddhist flags, the Great Bodhi tree and Buddhist terminology in their political campaigns.
