Sri Lanka Buddhist delegation visit India

Colombo, Sri Lanka -- Senior UNP Parliamentarian, Dr. Jayalath Jayawardena will visit Tamil Nadu from February 29 to March 6 along with a Buddhist delegation headed by Ven. Dr. Brahmanawatte Seevali Nayake Thero, Chief Incumbent, Nagadeepa Rajamaha Viharaya.  This delegation would comprise high ranking Buddhist monks, including Ven. Dr. Muruttettuwe Ananda Thera.

Dr. Jayawardena, has initiated a project to construct three new Buddhist temples in Thiruththani, Trichy and Thirunelvely in three cities in the State of Tamil Nadu.

Three blocks of 1-acre land have been donated by three South Indian Tamil philanthropists, including N. Nallasamy, a former Minister of the Tamil Nadu Government at the request of Dr. Jayawardena, to put up these three temples.
