Project to collect Buddhist books for Seruwila Viharaya launched

Colombo, Sri Lanka -- The Ambalangoda Deshapremi Sanvidanaya at the invitation of Minister of Cultural Affairs Minister Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena and at the request of the venerable high priest of the Seruwila Raja Maha Viharaya, has launched a project to collect Buddhist books including Tamil ones for the library of the Viharaya.

The Seruwila Raja Maha Viharaya in the Trincomalee district is the place where it is said the sacred Tooth Relic was brought by Prince Dantha and Prince Hemamala according to Buddhist legend.

Mr. Buddhika Kurukularatne, President of the Ambalangoda Deshapremi Sanvidanaya requests those who wish books to this worthy cause to please deliver them to the Seruwila Shanthi Foundation situated at 410/160 Bauddhaloka Mawatha, Colombo 07, by March 31.
