Japanese Buddhist delegation in Sri Lanka

Colombo, Sri Lanka -- An eight-member Buddhist delegation from Japan led by Ven. Teruzumi Fukushima, the Viharadhipathi and Chief Incumbent of the Direjin temple of Japan arrived in the island on Sunday night.

These delegates visited the country to assist the pre schools, witness the "Nawam Perahera" of the Hunupitiya Gangaramaya Temple and also to visit temples like the Dhawalasingharama Maha Viharaya in Colombo.

They were received at the airport by Ven. Waskaduwa Sirirathana Thera, Deputy Sanghanayake of Colombo Division, Ven. Ariyawansa Thera, Executive Director of the "Meth Laduru Uyana" and Gunarathna Konara Bandara, Principal of Prince College, Kotahena.
