The Tibetan Buddhist Society in Yuroke will hold a festival with the theme Mindfulness, Meditation and Wellbeing on March 1 and 2.
Co-director Martin Horan said the Tibetan New Year was seen as a time of renewal and a chance for new beginnings.
“If we want to set a positive direction for the future, more peaceful (and) more centred, then New Year is a really good time to reflect on that,” he said.
The festival features a market, tours, children’s activities, meditation and a blessing ceremony at noon on Saturday.
The festival will run from 9.30am-5pm on both days at 1425 Mickleham Rd, Yuroke.
