Yala ISOC arranges ‘Buddhist-Muslim Families Tighten

YALA, Thailand -- Yala Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC) has held a ‘Buddhist-Muslim Families, Tighten Relationship Project’ in cooperation with the Yala Special Unit, National Office of Buddhism in order to encourage the faithful of both religions, to brainstorm answers to the problem of southern unrest.

The special activities at this event included Thai-Buddhists and Thai-Muslims in discussion about southern unrest, lectures about how to live together among differences, and brainstorming ideas about solutions to
the long running insurgency.

This activity is aimed at reaching people who live in the far south, so as to address religious and cultural differences and access the useful opinions of the community.
