NAKHON RATCHASIMA, Thailand -- Revered Buddhist monk Luang Phor Khoon Parisuttho was hospitalised Wednesday morning with a low blood sugar level, prompting doctors to prohibit people from visiting him or ask the monk not to visit his followers.

The 83-year-old monk was found lying with pale face, shaking body and muscle weakness in his living quarter at 2 am in Dan Khun Thot district's Wat Ban Rai.

His disciples rushed him to a local hospital where he received glucose due to the low blood sugar level of 34 milligram per cent. The monk later was transferred to Maharaj Nakhon Ratchasima Hospital at 8 am.
