TROY, New York (USA) -- Buddhist nun Robina Courtin will speak at the Sanctuary for Independent Media Monday night about her philosophies, history and work with her Liberation Prison Project.

The evening will also include a screening of "Chasing Buddha," a documentary on Courtin's life.

Courtin, who became a Buddhist nun more than 25 years ago, once worked as a bodyguard for the Dalai Lama and now dedicates herself to helping bring spiritual awakening to inmates.

The Liberation Prison Project, which Courtin formed in 1996, provides Buddhist teachings and mediation instruction to prison inmates all over the world.

The program will begin at 7 p.m. at the Sanctuary at 3361 6th Street.
