Tibetan Buddhist retreat to hold peace training

JUNCTION CITY, Oregon (USA) -- The sixth annual Bodhisattva Peace Training will be held Friday through next Sunday at Chagdud Gonpa, the Tibetan Buddhist retreat center.

A public talk is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday. Next weekend, Lama Shenpen Drolma will lead the training for people who want to increase their effectiveness in alleviating the suffering of others.

The training would be of benefit to caregivers, counselors, social workers, clergy, educators, environmental and social justice activists, parents and others.

The course meets the qualifications for 16 hours of continuing education credit for people in various social work and medical occupations.
