Ottawa, Canada -- Members of a musical troupe from Taiwan's Buddhist Fukuangshan Temple visited Taiwan Representative to Canada Thomas Chen at his office in Ottawa Thursday, and were treated with a luncheon by Chen's wife Chang Mei-he at Chen's residence.

The group had entertained the couple, staff of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Canada, Taiwan expatriates in Canada and a Canadian audience the previous evening with peaceful Buddhist chants.

Following the performance, the audience also heard an address from the Fukuangshan Temple founder, Master Hsing Yu, and received his blessing. The troupe set off for Toronto after the visit and is scheduled to fly to Saint Louis in the United States, where it will give its last concert of the North American tour Sunday before returning to Taiwan.
