Book to promote Buddhist concept of `Nirvana’

BHUBANESWAR, India -- ‘Nirvana in Candrakirti’s Prasannapada - A study in Madhyamika concept of Nirvana in the context of Indian thought’, a book written by academic and philosopher Professor G C Nayak was released here recently.
The work is an analysis dealing with Nirvana as presented in seventh century thinker Candrakirti’s magnum opus ‘Prasannapada’.
Nayak has tried to bring about a clear understanding on the concept of Nirvana, the Vedantic Moksha through analysis, comparison and contrast with Western philosophers Aristotle and Wittgenstein as well as between Prasannapada and early Buddhism.
The author aims at promoting the Buddhist concept.
