Legend of Buddha nominated for Oscar awards

New Delhi, India -- ''The Legend of Buddha'', a 2D animation film produced by Pentamedia Graphics Ltd has been nominated for the Oscar awards in the 'Best Animation Film category.
Based on the life of Prince Siddhartha, ''The Legend of Buddha'' has been produced at the company's studio in India, Singapore and the Philippines, Pentamedia said.
In the film, is the 2D animated characters have been brought to life through more than 2,00,000 drawings supported by rich 3D animated backgrounds giving on screen depth.
Only 11 animated films from across the world which include three films from Walt Disney, USA, three from DreamWorks, USA, two from Warner Bros, USA and one each from Paramount Pictures, USA, Maxmedia, South Korea have qualified for this year;s awards, the Tamil Nadu -based company said.
''Gulliver's Travel'', ''Sinbad - The Secret of Colonis'' and ''Tarzan and the Aliens'' are some of the animation films which will soon be released by the company.
