In a world drowning in noise, where information is weaponized and attention is the ultimate currency, one question rises above the chaos: Where do you turn for news that doesnt just inform, but transforms?
Welcome to
The Buddhist Channel!

We are a dedicated Buddhist media rooted in mindful communication, utilizing timeless Buddhist wisdom covering all sections of the Buddhist community with an eye on future technology.

Our identity is etched in our emblem: a three-petaled lotus, each petal a vibrant shade representing the Theravada, Mahayana, and Vajrayana traditions. Together, they bloom in harmonious unity, reflecting our unwavering commitment to non-sectarianism. The lotus itself is the timeless metaphor for who we are: beautiful, untainted, striving for enlightenment even as our roots cling to the muddy waters of samsara.
Why does the world need The Buddhist Channel now more than ever?
Because the intersection of Dharma and daily life has never been more needed. We stand at the precipice of a challenging and confusing era, and BC is your guide across six transformative pillars of engagement to help you get a sense of all these turbulence:
Mindful Communication & Ethical Journalism We reject the poison of clickbait and sensationalism. Here, every story is weighed, every word is measured, and every report is offered with Right Speech as our foundational precept.
Insights into Buddhist Currents From the persecution of minorities in remote highlands to the revival of ancient orders in the West, we bridge the geographical and cultural gaps to bring you the urgent issues affecting the global Sangha.
Community Engagement & The Fourfold Assembly The Buddha's vision was never one of solitary monks on distant peaks, but of a living, breathing
parisa, the fourfold assembly of monks, nuns, laymen, and laywomen, each supporting the other like four legs of a stable table. We are dedicated to nurturing this human and spiritual system, fostering connections across the lay and monastic divide, empowering local communities, and ensuring that every voice - whether robed or householder, novice or elder - finds a seat at the table of Dharma dialogue.
Documenting Traditions & Culture We are the archivists of living heritage, authoring and amplifying the stories, rituals, and art that keep the Dhamma vibrant for the next generation.
Digital Preservation The ancient whispers of Pali, Sanskrit, Chinese and Tibetan texts - Buddhist languages that carry the Buddha's words- are fragile. We champion the digitization of these precious sources, ensuring the fire of wisdom is never extinguished by the winds of time.
Generative AI & R&D Can artificial intelligence be a vessel for enlightenment? Through pioneering projects like NORBU AI, we are at the cutting edge of research, exploring how Generative AI can serve the Dhamma without diluting its essence.
Mindful Travel We curate journeys of the Buddhist "dharmafarer", promoting Buddhist travel and sustainable tourism that honors the earth, respects local cultures, and deepens the pilgrimage of the heart.
This is not just a news based website. It is a living, breathing ecosystem of mindful, non-violent communication and Dharma engagement. Whether you are a seasoned monk, a curious seeker, or a technologist wondering if code can intersect with consciousness, The Buddhist Channel is your Buddha guided, Dharma based and Sangha inspired information home.
So please step into the lotus. Let the news nourish your mind, and let the Dhamma guide your gaze. Again, this is not just media, this is a path.
May the Dharma wheel turn for another 1,000 millennia!
