There's no "us and them" in Buddhism

by Joseph Keith, Illinois USA, The Buddhist Channel, Nov 29, 2005

I want to thank the person who responded by letter that all religions are not the same. For me, Buddhism advocates "no us and them." Buddhism does not say, damn someone to hell when they disagree with "religious texts."

Buddhism does not say we are the "only way." For me, Buddhism advocates tolerance and learning.

I hope the most known Buddhist monk in the world is only trying to stem the aggressive and unethical conversion tactics used by Christian missionaries in Buddhist areas of the world.
