Colombo Page, January 7, 2005

London, UK -- Britain's Prince Charles yesterday visited the United Kingdom's oldest Buddhist temple to pay tribute to volunteers who have offered items and goods to be sent to tsunami victims in Sri Lanka.

Sources said the Prince spent more than one hour at the London Buddhist Vihare. Yesterday donations from the British public to Asia's tsunami victims reached 100 million pounds.

Sri Lanka's High Commissioner in London Faisz Musthapha and chief monk Ven. Dr. Medagama Vajiragnana were also present.
