Buddhist centre offers free talk

Wymondham and Attleborough Mercury, February 28, 2008

Wymondham, UK -- A Buddhist meditation group is offering a free public talk in Wymondham on Feb 29.

Entitled "The Benefits of Meditation", organised by the Attleborough-based Amoghasiddhi Buddhist Centre, will explain what meditation is and how it helps people overcome stress and problems in their lives through developing positive attitudes.

Following the talk, the group will offer weekly evening meditation classes throughout the year, starting on March 7.

The teacher of the class, Kadam Chris Heyes said: “Meditation is the best method to relax, overcome stress and gain inner peace of mind. If our mind is peaceful we are happy, even when life gets difficult, but if our mind is not peaceful we will not be happy no matter how good our surroundings. These classes are open to everyone, whatever their age, background or beliefs.”

Anyone interested can just turn up at Abbey Hall, Church Lane, Wymondham, at 1.30pm tomorrow.

For more information about the meditation classes and courses, call the centre on 01953 451937.
