Buddhist master's teachings at Hall

Ridder Dale Herald, January 23, 2009

Harrogate, UK -- KETTLESING Millennium Hall hosted a day of teachings by the distinguished Buddhist master, Lama Jampa Thaye.

Lama Jampa has had connections with the region for the past decade. He now visits North Yorkshire twice-yearly to make the Buddhist teachings available to his students as well as to a wider audience.

On this occasion he taught a collection of spiritual advice from the great Indian master Je Atisha - which, despite its antiquity, is still helpful today.

The Lama will return to Harrogate in April to teach 'The Four Dharmas of Gampopa'. This text by a great twelfth century master of the Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism consists of four instructions which together illuminate the path to liberation.

He will teach these over a morning session, which will be open to all.
