Vietnamese Buddhists celebrate Buddha’s birthday in Germany

Berlin, Germany -- Hundreds of Vietnamese Buddhist followers gathered at a grand ceremony to celebrate the 2,553rd birthday of Buddha held in Berlin on May 6 under the chairman of Most Venerable Thich Bao Nghiem from Vietnam.
Most Venerable Thich Bao Nghiem, permanent Vice Chairman of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) and head of the Dharma Propagation Section of the VBS Central Committee, is leading a delegation of the VBS Central Committee on a tour to propagate Dharma in four Eastern European countries.
The overseas Vietnamese Buddhist community expressed their pleasure to welcome the Dharma propagation delegation from the VBS Central Committee.
During its stay in Germany, the VBS delegation visited the Vietnamese embassy in Berlin where they heard Ambassador Do Hoa Binh talks about the spiritual live of the Buddhists and the Vietnamese community in Germany.
He affirmed that the embassy will actively support healthy religious activities of Vietnamese in Germany, contributing to strengthening unity among the Vietnamese community
