On the occasion, Minister of State Lama said that such camps would be highly beneficial to the rural poor who are unable to go to cities for treatment.
The government has been conducting such health camps throughout the nation in coordination with various Gumbas and Bihars in order to provide free health service to the poor people at their doorsteps, he said, adding the government will extend such programmes in the days to come.
Expressing gratitude to the Ministry of Health and Population for its contribution of medicines required to the camp, Chairman of the National Buddhist Federation Amrit Ghale said the Federation wishes that people should get optimum facilities from the camp.
Medicine worth of Rs. 500,000 was provided free of cost at the camp organised with the assistance of the Ministry and jointly organised by the Bihar.
The patients of Gynecology, general medicine, skin, arthritis, paediatrics and others were provided treatment at the camp by the doctors of Bir Hospital, Maternity Hospital, Kanti Children's Hospital and the Gorkha Hospital.
The programme was presided over by Secretary of the Bihar Ram Gopal Maharjan where Social worker Indra Lal Gole also expressed his views.
