New Delhi, India -- The conclave is being organized by the International Buddhist Confederation, the body that represents the voice of Buddhists around the world.

Around 200 delegates from 39 countries will meet here from Monday to deliberate on issues being faced by more than 400 million Buddhists around the world and also to discuss common causes of climate change and global terrorism.

The conclave is being organized by the International Buddhist Confederation, the body that represents the voice of Buddhists around the world.

"The conclave is an effort to bring the various divided sects of Buddhists, so that they can start on common grounds and bring Buddhism into global discourse," said Lalit Mansingh, vice president of Mahabodhi Society.

The conclave will also be attended by the spiritual leaders from other faiths and there would be 12 delegations from China.

"The IBC conclave will work to preserve and revitalize Buddhist heritage, where it will work closely with central and state governments to improve connectivity, infrastructure and services for pilgrims and other visitors," added Mansingh.
