Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh (India) -- Chinese action star Max Mok Siu-Chung met 17th Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje, the head of the Karma Kargyu sect of Buddhism.

Max, based in Hong-Kong, said he was delighted to meet the revered leader.

"I am very lucky that I got a chance to see him. After I saw him, I felt very comfortable and peaceful. He is a very nice person," Max said.

However, Max felt disappointed for not getting a chance to meet the Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama. The actor said he hoped to meet him during his next visit.

The Dalai Lama has set up his headquarters in Dharamsala since he fled Tibet after a failed uprising against Chinese occupation in 1959.

Max was in Dharamsala to seek spiritual insights for his forthcoming project.

Max, who began his career in films as a teenager, has acted in more than 85 films.
