Gujarat has ancient structures of Buddha-Temples .The life and ideals of Buddha are still relevant and continuously inspire us to seek the purpose of our life, and tread the right path. He expressed his resolve to build a Buddha temple in Gujarat.

Government is also interested in developing Buddha circuit with Sri Lanka which already has Buddha circuit. Sri Lanka Tourism Minister Milinda Moragoda who signed a MOU for the development of tourism in Gujarat said that his country was also interested in developing Buddhist circuit.

The Chief Minister made this announcement on the second day of the two day global investors' summit at the Science City here.
