Kalon Tripa to Visit Ladakh

Dharamshala, India -- Kalon Tripa Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche on Tuesday, 21 July, will set off on a week-long visit to Leh, Ladakh. Enroute to Ladakh, Kalon Tripa is expected to meet various people in Delhi on 22 July.

The itinerary of Kalon Tripa in Leh from 23-27 July includes meetings with the members of the Local Tibetan Assembly, Rangden Tsokchung and the board of directors of the Tibetan cooperatives.

Kalon Tripa will also deliver a series of speeches to diverse groups of people, including students and staff of Tibetan Children's Village School, leaders of the nine villages incorporated in Changthang Tibetan Settlement, Danglop Rukhag and the Tibetan people in Ladakh.

Kalon Tripa is also expected to meet the district commissioner of Leh, officials of the Ladakh Hill Council and leaders of the Himalayan Buddhist Cultural Association in addition to attending the Annual Agriculture and Cooperative Development Conference slated to be held on 26 July.

Kalon Tripa will arrive back in Dharamshala on 29 July.
