The official declaration letter in this regard has already been handed over to the Maha Nayaka of Sri Lanka Ramanna Maha Nikaya Most Ven. Weweldeniye Medhalankara Thera by the Director Physical Planning Department of Urban Development and Sacred Area Development Ministry, Vidyananda Vharadhikari Ven. Galapitamada Indrananda Thera said.

After the Temple is made a Sacred Place construction of devotees rest hall, alms hall and preservation of historic buildings, edifices and removing of commercial structures will be carried out by the Physical Planning Department.

The precincts of the Viharaya will be landscapes with gardens, halls for religious purposes, the Thera added.
