An abbot from a Buddhist monastery in Rangoon who doesn?t want to be named told DVB that the relatives and acolytes of the detained monks have been waiting at the gates of the prisons with the hope of seeing the faces of their respected religious teachers but they have been disappointed everyday.
The monk urged the military authorities to release them before the so-called the international conference on Buddhism starts in Rangoon in December.
