Most Venerable Thich Pho Tue, Vice Chairman of the VBS, Chief Secretary of the Sangha Council and Vice Chairman of the Executive Council of the VBS, and other most venerables from the Sangha Council and Executive Council and Buddhist executive committees of provinces and cities attended the service.

Pham The Duyet, President of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee; Ngo Yen Thi, Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs; and representatives of the Party Central Committee's Mass Mobilisation Commission, the municipal Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and VFF Committee of Ha Noi also attended.

The State conferred the Independence Order, first class, on the VBS Chairman Most Venerable Thich Tam Tich in recognition of his contributions to the religious cause and social affairs.

Most Venerable Thich Tam Tich was buried at his tower in Bo De Pagoda, Long Bien precinct, Ha Noi.
