Recently Khenzhur Rinpoche was named Drepung Tripa, the most senior abbot of the Drepung monastery with its two colleges, Gomang and Loseling.
The Four Great Seals will help to distinguish the path of a Buddhist and that taken by the Buddha.
He will be expounding about Karma and how the term liberally used in today’s society could often be incorrectly feared.
He will also explain how the results of one’s thoughts, words and deeds depended on the nature of the intention behind the action. If we do a good deed, we will reap a positive result.
This is how intentions condition our experiences and, as the Dalai Lama puts it, “the very term karma or action is a term of active force, which indicates that future events are within your own hands.”
Khenzhur Rinpoche will be teaching on The Four Great Seals of Buddhism on Jan 22,23 and 25 from 8pm - 10pm and on the Law of Karma and Its Effects” on Jan 26 and 27 over two sessions from 9.30am to 12 noon, and from 3pm to 5pm.
