The motor treasure hunt took the participants from Kuala Lumpur to Ipoh going through towns such as Rawang, Bukit Beruntung, Tanjung Malim, Bidor, Tapah, Kampar and around Ipoh to finish at a leading hotel in the city. En route to the finish point, the participants stopped by at the House of Peace, where they were welcomed by Eddie and Audrey Lee, founders of the home that caters to the emotional, psychological and spiritual needs of children from broken homes and underprivileged families. It also caters to the physically and emotionally abused children and reactive depressive children.
The prize-giving dinner was attended by Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Seri Ong Ka Chuan. National Cancer Society of Malaysia honorary secretary Dr Saunthari Somasundaram spoke on the cancer awareness.
"Hunters R Us" won the first prize of cash and a holiday package sponsored by Berjaya Group. Team "Spare Parts" and "Whacky Nuts" came in second and third respectively. The top prizes were presented to the winners by VBCM president Eddie Wong. The event and other prize sponsors included Genting Group, Pearl International Hotel, Zapporo Appliances, Shiseido, Kenny Rogers, Tourism Malaysia and Honey Holidays.
