SHAH ALAM, Selangor (Malaysia) -- The Buddhist Missionary Society Malaysia (BMSM) from the Samadhi Vihara Temple here is holding its first exhibition on the teachings of the Buddha to mark Wesak Day celebration.
The month-long exhibition incorporates four key elements on the teachings of the religion.
According to organising committee member Lim Guat Cheng, the first element of the exhibition would be the entrance, which will show recordings of the late Venerable K Sri Dhammananda, the abbot of the Buddhist Maha Vihara.
“From there, visitors will walk to the service, purity and wisdom zones,” she said.
Each of these zones, Lim said, would explain Buddhism in a simple yet interactive way.
“The exhibition is suitable for visitors of all ages and is open between 10am and 9pm daily,” she said, adding that entrance was free.
Lim said it took a team of more than 50 volunteers to set up the exhibition, which had been planned since November last year.
