May we cultivate loving and kind thoughts
Towards all sentient beings, far or near; large, medium sized and small; those born and yet to be born
May we cultivate compassion
Through empathy, kindness and skillful actions, we alleviate the suffering of others
May we learn to be joyful
Of others' attainments and achievements
May be learn to stay calm
When trouble strikes us and upon our loved ones
Through mindfulness
May we correct our thoughts, speech and actions
Through concentration
May we overcome our mental disruptions of like, dislike, drowsiness, worries and stupidity
Through wisdom
May we uproot our greed, hatred and ignorance
Through the understanding of Dependent Origination
May we see the inter connectedness of all lives, and value the preciousness of each life, so that we do less harm towards all life and nature that nurtures it
Through seeing that one's self is Non-self
May we embrace the fact that our ego is not there at all, and never was in the first place
Through embracing the reality of Impermanence
May we learn to let go, and don't hang on to pain because things have changed
Through Buddha, Dharma and Sangha
May the Triple Jewel protect us from being ever more lulled into traps of suffering
However we chant...
Namo Tassa Bhagavato, Namo Amituofo, Om Mani Padme Hum...
Always remember
The Buddha only points us to the Path
The Dharma is the Path, and
The Sangha says, come... let's walk this Path together.
Sadhu! Sadhu! Sadhu!
