The Lull's Brook Watershed Association worries that the septic system leach field for the United Buddhist Church will be too close to the stream, and that the stream might be polluted with phosphorus.
The system's design engineers and the state official who oversaw permitting of the septic system say it can work effectively and prevent the pollution problem.
The church proposal includes six new buildings totaling around 15-thousand square feet to house as many as 100 residents and up to 42 daytime guests during the busier summer season.
