Buddhist devotees in US donate wheel chairs to disabled Army soldiers

Austin, TX (USA) -- The Austin Buddhist Centre, one of the largest Buddhist Temples in the United State of America, located in Austin, Texas has donated 22 wheel chairs to the disabled war veterans' of the Gajaba and Gamunu Regiments of the Sri Lanka Army.
This monetary donation was part of its one-year anniversary celebration held on the 13th of October 2008. It was made possible by 20 devoted families of the Centre for the use by disabled war heroes.
The donations were recently distributed by Colonel Chandana Weerakoon to the Gajaba Regiment on behalf of the Austin Buddhist Center in Texas.
