Cook County woman says monk fathered her daughter

Chicago, USA -- A Cook County woman sued the Thai Buddhist Temple in Chicago on Tuesday, alleging that a monk sexually assaulted and impregnated her more than a decade ago when she was 15.

The teenager gave birth to a girl in 2000 and later approached the temple for financial help, according to the lawsuit filed in Cook County Circuit Court.

A female agent for the temple at 7059 W. 75th St. advised her that she should give her daughter over to the temple, the suit states.
