San Jose, CA (USA) -- A health fair offering medical consultations and assessments will be offered from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday in San Jose. The fair and services are free and open to the public.

Volunteers with the Tzu Chi Foundation, a Buddhist humanitarian non-profit organization, will provide care and information at the health fair, at 2355 Oakland Road. Doctors will offer consultations in general medicine, Chinese medicine, chiropractic and vision. Services offered include blood pressure, weight and body fat measurements.

Doctors will also offer seminars on kidney disease and on liver cancer. In addition, other non-profits will offer informational booths on end-of-life care, transplant donation, senior activities, cancer and Alzheimer's disease.

For 15 years, Tzu Chi has offered twice-annual health seminars in the South Bay. With nearly 10 million supporters in 50 countries, its foundation works in charity, disaster relief, medicine, education and environmental protection.
