First class of Pacific Buddhist Academy graduates May 18

Honolulu, Hawaii (USA) -- The Pacific Buddhist Academy graduates its first class of 14 students May 18.

When it opened in the fall of 2003, Pacific Buddhist Academy was the first Shin Buddhist high school in the United States. Since then, the school has grown from a single class of freshmen to a high school student body of 60.

Baccalaureate and commencement services will be officiated by Honpa Hongwanji Bishop Thomas R. Okano, and will be held in the main temple of the Honpa Hongwanji Hawai'i Betsuin.
